Education

Private education comes at a price. Can it really reach children in the slums? Thought-provoking, isn’t it? This is the inspiration behind Manpower Seva – the Mumbai based NGO that is committed to making a difference in a life of underprivileged children who seek basic education and sense of freedom.

As we know India has highest number of school children, child labour and out of school children. Many families do not have enough resources to support their livelihood, hence parents fail to provide needy things to the children for the education. Many families, especially in slum and rural areas are too poor to buy school bags and other educational supplies for their children.

Education Empowerment

Uniform Distribution

Without a uniform a child cannot go to school. It means that the average child was missing one day of school every week. Providing free school uniforms decreased absenteeism to 13% in the initial years of the school. That means by providing FREE school uniforms cut absenteeism by 37%. For the poorest children, the effects is bigger.

Through our free uniform distribution program we provide school uniform to those children who lives in slums and cannot afford to buy a School uniform.

You may join hands with us in this social cause and help a child by donating money per uniform or provide a fresh uniform for children.

Stationery Distribution

For anybody of us who ever gone to school know how special it was to have new school bag, new books and other new study materials. It is probably a best way to start new academic year, however for many poor families in India the cost of school supplies is extremely stressful or impossible to render to their children. Attaining excellent education remain as a dream for many children.

Manpower Seva is working towards providing educational material to these poor children who attend Government Schools. We provide educational material consisting of text books, notebooks, geometry box, pencils, pens, and shoes, school bag, lunch box. We select a school through our personal visits to assess the children background and family condition to afford the educational materials. We also take inputs from the school head masters to select the students who are doing well in studies.

Scholarship

We provide a yearly scholarships to those students who score higher grades / marks in final exams. The scholarship program that we wish to offer is filled with care, support and independence that will provide these kids with a unique platform to tap into their unlimited potential. With the extraordinary weapon of education, Manpower Seva hopes to strengthen India by offering it with an army of learned professionals who will contribute tremendously for a better future.
